Got the sources.
Changed the search function a wee bit. instead of SQL to cursor I now do that to a (free) table.
That way the results are always saved and if the table exists in the remainder of the code I check for other rules I have created.
Maxhits is now no longer an issue. If I find more records than maxhits I do another sql select with top maxhits into a cursor outside the search function.
Tx for opening up these sources. (zen like bow for you)

We do not have enough information to provide any assistance. The good news is that we have open sourced the the FoxWeb Full-Text Search Engine, so you can debug it locally:

I do understand the value of maxhits and last LastSearchTally
what beats me now is that I do a search that returns a value of 21 for LastSearchTally, however no cursor with results is created.
What's going wrong? The result of the search returns a .T. Errors.count gives me 0 errors.
So it now beats me what I have done wrong this time.
I hope to hear soon what is going wrong, I want this project off my plate.
