Found the solution.
I had to place a copy of the Vfp9r.dll in the System32 folder. It didn't like the fact that the file was in the Common folder.

I can't insall the VFP 9 runtime on a Windows 2000 box.
I've used Installshield express and created the runtime installation. I can install the files on a clean Win XP box but I get the following error in the 2K box... "Vfp9r.dll is invalid do damaged" when I try to run my text app.
